About the role

The Team Leader, Tenancy Services (West) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service to all tenants of the Women’s Housing Company (WHC) by leading and managing a Tenancy Services Team, delivery of relevant strategic operational plans and tenancy KPIs, maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring adherence to relevant legislative and contractual requirements and organisational policy and procedures and financial targets.

They will provide expert advice, coaching, and leadership to the team and drive the implementation of best practice policies and processes that ensure business sustainability and ongoing registration of WHC.

This position will be primarily based in Liverpool.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the General Manger Customers & Communities (GMCC) to drive the company culture and performance through effective management and leadership practices
  • Ensure consistent high-quality service from the Tenancy Services team by managing adherence to customer service standards and relevant policies and procedures
  • Ensure the Tenancy Services Team meets its financial goals and KPI targets through effective management
  • Support the continuous improvement and development of services offered to tenants
  • Ensure WHC meets compliance and legislative requirements by managing the accurate recording of relevant data, preparing reports and data for registration, compliance and funding requirements
  • Increase the profile and reputation of the Women’s Housing Company.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Social Housing or similar qualification
  • Experience in staff leadership
  • Experience in tenancy management
  • Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and social housing policy and framework
  • Intermediate skills in all Microsoft Office 2010 applications
  • NSW Drivers licence
  • Mandatory National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check
  • Being female is a genuine occupational requirement - Section 31 Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
