Windana is a leading Melbourne-based drug and alcohol treatment organisation specialising in holistic, client-focused recovery services, employing over 150 highly experienced staff delivering services across multiple sites.

For more than 35 years, Windana has been helping people rebuild their lives in a safe, caring environment, supporting our clients through their recovery process.

Windana assists 1500 people across Victoria every year by providing drug and alcohol treatment services including residential withdrawal, residential rehabilitation and a suite of non-residential services.

The Program

Windana Health & Healing is the natural therapies program at Windana and aims to provide affordable, holistic and professional natural health care and supplements to our clients and the wider community. Our aim is to offer holistic, innovative services to our client group, and we encourage staff and clients to work in partnership. The Opportunity:

Reporting into the Program Coordinator of Windana Health and Healing, the Volunteer Community Naturopath is responsible for providing naturopathic interventions and project/administrative assistance as directed.

In this role you will be consulting with clients in our Community Clinic, assisting the Program Coordinator with the running of the dispensary, and various other administrative and supportive duties to the Program Coordinator in a Naturopathic capacity.

The role is based at our St Kilda clinic and may start at 4-6 hours per fortnight but will move to weekly as demand requires.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 2+ years’ demonstrated consulting experience
  • Professional qualifications as a Naturopath
  • Registration and membership with professional bodies as a qualified Naturopath
  • Current professional indemnity insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience working within the alcohol and drug sector or within a similar dynamic and community-based environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
