Remote / Work from Home
Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.
Our friendly team of NDIS professionals are committed to ensuring that clients who meet NDIS eligibility, achieve access to the Scheme and are provided with the highest standard of NDIS services and options available. Some of your clients will live in the community and others in residential aged care settings. Most have no family or support people to assist them to manage their services which is why our role is so rewarding.
Wintringham has a long history of providing high quality, evidence-based behaviour support using the least restrictive options for residents of Residential Aged Care (RAC) facilities. With the growth in our NDIS service delivery, we have created an exciting new role for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBSP) to join our organisation on a Part-time (Fixed Term) or Casual basis.
Working closely with the NDIS Development Manager and Authorised Program Officer (APO), this position will help to develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans for and with people with a disability and their support networks. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated professional who is excited to contribute to excellent outcomes for socially and financially disadvantaged people with a disability.
Candidates must have at least a Proficient rating on the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
We are committed to offering an enjoyable, safe and flexible workplace that provides a work-life balance. When you are working with Wintringham, you will have access to the following benefits:

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Records check. Refusal to provide your information to both parties will prevent Wintringham from being able to continue with your application.
Applicants who have lived in a country other than Australia for a period longer than 12 months in the last 10 years may be required to undergo an International Police Check.
Successful candidates will be required to comply with the Wintringham Health and Immunisation policy including having three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine as well as a 2024 Flu Immunisation before commencing employment and must provide evidence.
Wintringham is committed to providing safe and inclusive environments and services. We celebrate differences in ability, age, culture, gender, gender identity, race, religion, sexuality, spirituality and beliefs. Everyone has a right to feel welcome, respected and valued in a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.
