About the Role
This role is based at PepperGreen Farm in Bendigo and will see you working Monday – Friday (8 am – 4 pm) in our Grounds Maintenance team.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day training and supervision to Supported Employees.
- Complete paperwork including incident reports and case notes.
- Manage daily challenges through creative problem-solving and innovation.
- Be innovative in approach to ensure that all supported employees have a task they are capable of or can be trained in, whilst at the same time meeting commercial standards of quality and customer service.
- Maintaining a professional duty of care to employees at all times.
About You
We are seeking someone with high levels of empathy and compassion to join the PepperGreen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and loves the outdoors!
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated ability to work with people who experience a broad range of disability types and require varying support needs.
- Good skills in training, and an excellent ability to relate to others from different backgrounds.
- Possess excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be proactive in risk identification, notification and management.
- High level of personal integrity and professionalism.
- The desire to contribute to our purpose and grow with the company.
- A qualification in Disability or Community Services (desirable).
- A current Victorian driver’s licence (essential).
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment, i.e. lawn mower and brush cutter (essential).
- Ability to tow and reverse a trailer (essential).
