About the role:

As the UX Designer you will work with the design team comprised of UX design, visual design and UX research to deliver an exceptional customer experience across our digital product WISE Online. You will work within a scrum team to design and deliver solutions to user problems. This role sits within the Office of CEO division of WISE Employment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand our users by working with UX research, looking at user data and conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research. Use results to facilitate informed design activities and outcomes.
  • Progress work through a collaborative design process (e.g. the double diamond) with input from design, research, development and other stakeholders and ensure its successful delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops and other activities to understand problems and design solutions.
  • Apply the right play for the piece of work at hand - e.g. user flows, wireframes, prototypes, IA, content strategy etc.
  • Create UI copy, including micro-copy creation in product wireframes.
  • Apply human centred design and lean UX principles to bring new features and services to market.
  • Create designs that adhere to the style guide, are accessible and balance business objectives, user needs, and technology
  • Have an informed opinion on design topics and engage in design critique with the team to strengthen your and their work.

About you:

  • 5+ years industry experience in UX, interaction or product design.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • A demonstrated background creating accessible and usable solutions, including the creation of copy and microcopy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Planned and facilitated group sessions of all sizes, especially workshops and design sprints.
  • Personal attributes including enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, proactivity and innovation. You will thrive on our key attributes of customer centricity, curiosity, resilience, adaptability, creativity and a growth mindset.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Full Australian working rights, ability to satisfy national police check, and Working with Children Check requirements
  • Double vaccinated against COVID 19

Desirable skills:

  • Expertise with completing research with users (moderated and unmoderated usability tests, exploratory / generative research).
  • Analysed qualitative and quantitative data while gathering insights from both.
  • Experience using a design system or style guide.
  • Experience working in an agile or Lean environment.
