About the role

Alan Walker Village is an independent living retirement village, well established in the Carlingford area. Working in Aged Care requires a special kind of person who will play a critical role in the lives of our residents and their families.

This role will deliver cafe services to residents and visitors whilst working in a cohesive team. The position is for day shifts from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, suiting someone wanting to work school hours.

Essential criteria

• Barista Certification
• Previous work experience in a café or restaurant environment
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Basic math skills
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
• Have or be willing to obtain First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification
• Have or be willing to obtain Food Safety Handling Certification

Desirable criteria

• Experience with Square POS systems
• Willingness to assist Chef in the kitchen
