Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted Christian organisation making a real difference in the community. We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.
Our Vision is “A Spirit-led disciple-making movement: doing all the good we can because every life matters”.
Wesley Out of School Hours Care (Wesley OOSH) provides primary school-aged children with high-quality before and after-school care and vacation care. We currently have 12 services across Sydney and the Central Coast Sydney and are passionate about providing a warm, caring and engaging environment for children, staff, and families. We believe it is important that every child in our care feels at home in a secure environment where they can grow and learn.
As the Pedagogy & Recruitment Coordinator, you will be vital in guiding and mentoring new educators from the beginning of their journey. Beyond recruitment and training, your responsibilities extend to developing robust quality systems that empower educators. You’ll ensure that all Wesley OOSH care staff receive proper induction in alignment with Wesley Mission’s standards and Early Childhood Education and Care regulations. Collaborating closely with the Head of OOSH, you’ll foster a culture of excellence within the portfolio, support its growth in line with Wesley Mission’s strategy, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
To be successful in this position, you will have strong leadership qualities, be passionate, and love working as part of a fast-paced team, with a passion for ensuring our staff are supporting our children to be the best they can be. You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated. You will also have a cooperative approach to working with stakeholders.
Wesley Mission is a not-for-profit organisation and offers generous salary packaging available. Other benefits include discounted private health coverage, study assistance and an Employee Assistance Program.
Wesley Mission is a Christian organisation requiring all staff to affirm its values. We are committed to providing an environment in which children can feel safe and valued.
The suitable applicant will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks for appointment to positions within Wesley Mission (including provision of a valid Working with Children Check clearance number). Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
