About the program

Wesley Dalmar supports in excess of 600 children and young people in care, as well as their birth families and foster carers. We offer permanent, temporary, and respite care as well as a variety of supports to help children reach their potential and achieve permanency in their families.

About the role

This role will ensure that the placement and support of children in our care proceeds in alignment with our ethos and Family and Community Services priorities. The role will lead our diverse case management team in Taree and work in partnership with our other services across the Mid-North Coast region to achieve the case plans for children and young people.

Essential criteria

  • a degree qualification (minimum bachelor’s degree) from a recognised tertiary institution in Psychology / Social Work / Social science or related discipline
  • relevant experience in Out-of-Home Care
  • experience in leadership
  • ability to develop professional partnerships.
  • proven ability to meet deadlines and budget.
  • strong organisational processes and procedures.
  • ability to work as part of a team and a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • demonstrated high level communication (written and verbal), negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • sound record keeping, data collection and management, statistical analysis, report writing and computer skills including an ability to concisely and accurately record all key interactions.
  • current NSW Driver’s Licence and a willingness to travel as required.
  • willingness to affirm Wesley Missions vision, mission and values.

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (Level 7). Generous salary packaging available with a fully maintained vehicle. The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development.
