About the role

Wesley Mission is seeking applications for the position of Quality Assurance Officer within the Quality, Risk & Audit team.

Reporting directly to the Quality & Risk Manager, this role will provide oversight of the quality management framework within the organisation.

The successful candidate will have a passion and commitment to providing analysis and co-ordination whilst demonstrating a commitment to Wesley Mission’s vision, mission and values.

The primary objectives of this position will include:

  • Provide support and education to staff on the quality management framework including systems and processes
  • Lead, contribute to and implement quality management initiatives across the organisation
  • Analyse data from client and staff feedback, incident reporting and complaints management
  • Collate and report quality performance information to management and the Board.

Essential criteria

  • Qualifications in quality management or similar/ equivalent discipline
  • Background and track record in quality assurance
  • Experience in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001 – Quality Certification
  • Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, simply and logically
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve set objectives
  • Strong written and verbal skills, public speaking and presentation capabilities
  • Strong consulting, training and facilitation skills
  • Well-developed skills in identifying and improving systems and processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in managing quality within clinical settings (e.g. home care)
  • An appreciation of the challenges involved in managing a diverse workforce in dealing within a not-for-profit environment
  • Not for profit or cause related experience.
