Provide practical assistance and support to adolescents and their families, underpinning and strengthening the family relationship.
Develop holistic and comprehensive assessments of the needs of children, young people and their families within the Best Interests Case Practice Framework using judgement, skills and knowledge to develop services where procedures are clearly defined.
Facilitate family reconciliation using intensive family focused intervention strategies such as mediation to build positive relationships, where their own strengths are used to improve the functioning of their family unit.
Deliver responsive support so that young people who are in crisis or at immediate risk of harm can have their needs addressed. Provide ongoing support and supervision where necessary, so that young people can establish themselves in an appropriate living arrangement.
