Your new role

You’ll play a key role in helping Educators provide inclusive programs that meet the diverse needs of all children. Your support will build on the educators’ existing knowledge and skills while valuing their expertise in nurturing children’s learning and development. Together, you’ll help them achieve positive outcomes that reflect each child’s unique interests, abilities, and needs.

Collaboration is at the heart of this work, as you’ll foster strong partnerships among educators, families, and other professionals. You will also be there for Early Childhood Teachers, boosting their confidence and skills to adapt programs effectively and encourage meaningful participation from all children.

Your approach will involve consulting with educators and may include providing resources, observing classrooms with thoughtful feedback, linking to professional development opportunities, and offering personalised coaching.

Your skills and experience

You often get positive feedback on your ability to engage openly and professionally, tailoring your approach to different audiences, whether through written reports or in-person collaboration.

You excel at managing multiple priorities, working independently, and adapting to different work settings. You’re known for being collaborative and bringing confidence, clarity and integrity to your interactions.

You will also bring with you:

  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent, with additional qualifications in Special Education highly regarded.
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence to support travel across early childhood settings.
  • Extensive experience in early childhood services, with a passion for inclusive education.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), with the ability to apply best-practice principles.
  • Knowledge of barriers to inclusion in kindergarten settings and strategies to foster an inclusive environment and expertise in inclusive practices that support diverse learning needs within kindergarten programs.
