The Opportunity

We have a Lead Educator role available within OSHC leadership team.  As the Lead Educator, you will lead your service and team to ensure the practices established by your service, facilitates a program consistent with the National Quality Standards and reflects the National Quality Framework. Working closely with our team of other OSHC Leaders and OSHC Director, you will continue to grow your service and build upon the connections already between OSHC, the school and the school community.

What’s on offer

30 Hour role available. At Uniting we understand the importance of your role as an OSHC Leader and value the work you do. You will receive 6 hours non-contact time to complete you administrative responsibilities.

In addition to receiving a salary and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program.

About you

  • Facilitate the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of service operation
  • Implement the service statement of philosophy that guides the pedagogy and teaching decisions
  • Assist to develop and implement daily routines and use these as learning opportunities for your service.
  • Assist and Implement and play-based learning environment responsive to children’s interest, strengths and abilities
  • Plan and implement programs which reflect cultural backgrounds and the emerging skills and interests of children.
  • Document children’s learning in a variety of ways that makes their learning visible
  • Maintain ongoing records of the children’s development and assessments against learning outcomes
  • Critically reflect on and evaluate children’s learning, using this as a primary source of future planning
