  • Part-time (60.8 hours per fortnight), Maximum term (12 months)
  • Based in Heidelberg

Your new role

As a Men’s Behaviour Change Practitioner, you will provide individual family violence prevention case management for men who have been identified as perpetrators of family violence and have been referred to the Men’s Behaviour Change Program.

In this role, you will conduct initial intake assessments, individual sessions and provide appropriate referrals to consumers who have been referred to the program.

Your skills and experience

  • Undergraduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent
  • Principal Facilitator in line with the Men’s Behaviour Change Standards (Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management) or willingness to obtain
  • Proven experience in Family Violence intervention and support service delivery
  • Sound understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Victorian government family violence service system reforms, the MARAM framework
  • Demonstrated experience in group facilitation.
  • A sound understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and the issues relating to participants of MBCP.
