This is a great opportunity for an experienced and values-driven nurse to take a lead role in providing care and support to people on their journey to achieve alcohol and drug withdrawal in our Curran Place Adult and Mother Baby Withdrawal facility in Ivanhoe.
Along with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide supervision and support to a multidisciplinary team including Admin, Intake, Registered nurses, AOD workers, childcare workers, students, and visiting workers.
You will ensure a safe and non-judgemental environment for our clients including mothers with their babies, seeking withdrawal from the acute use of alcohol and/or other drugs.
You will assist in clinical management and decision-making, service liaison, and contribute to service planning for all program participants.
Achieve work-life balance in this high-impact role, working Wednesday to Friday and leading a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with a holistic approach to assessment, planning, and care.
In addition to Registered Nurse Grade 4A rates and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

You will have access to paid parental leave for up to 10 weeks and can receive a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.
You will have proven experience leading and working as a Registered Nurse in a Drug and Alcohol or Mental Health inpatient setting. Most importantly, you have a track record working with clients with problematic drug or alcohol use in an empathetic, and non-judgmental manner and a knowledge and understanding of treatment interventions.
