We are located on the southwest coast of Victoria in the beautiful seaside city of Warrnambool that marks the western end of the Great Ocean Road. Our receptionist will be responsible for the Centre's reception, administration, room hire and program delivery support.

WNCC has been serving the community of Warrnambool for 35 years and is currently in a very exciting phase of organisational rejuvenation. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to help create a gathering place filled with kindness where our community can connect, thrive and create memories, living our values of generosity, curiosity, wisdom, harmony, courage and knowledge in everything we do.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with people needing assistance, providing accurate information, assisting with program participants and room hire customers. A service-oriented approach is essential. Everyone must feel comfortable and valued when engaging with WNCC.

Our receptionist reports to the Centre Manager. This is an initial fixed-term contract, part time position for 12 months with the view to extend. Starting date as close to 1 September 2023 as possible. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHCADS) Award 2010 and the Neighbourhood House Collective Agreement 2016.

DO YOU HAVE:

  • A high level of proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 Applications including Outlook, Calendar, Contacts, SharePoint, Forms, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
