About The Role

Tenancy Plus provides advocacy and support to renters in public and community housing who are at risk in the inner West and parts of the North of Melbourne. The program works on an outreach basis and intervenes when social housing tenancies are at risk by providing individual support to sustaining the tenancy and reduce the risk of the tenancy breaking down.

The Tenancy Plus team leader is responsible for:

  • Providing case support, guidance and supervision to Tenancy Plus case managers
  • Ensuring allocations and waiting lists are managed appropriately
  • Developing positive collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of VCAT and knowledge of the residential tenancies act

Your Qualities

  • You will relish the opportunity to support and develop a tight knit team in a fast paced environment
  • You will have an understanding of trauma informed practice and how it applies to case management
  • You will enjoy advocating for clients and be able to develop strong stakeholder partnerships
  • You will foster a positive, collaborative and effective work environment and have a good understanding of group dynamics and what makes a good team

Work Arrangements

  • An ongoing position
  • 0.8 EFT – 4 days per week
