About Us

For over 40 years Women’s Legal Service Victoria (Women’s Legal) has championed women’s rights to live free from violence. We are a dedicated team with a passion for working with women and non-binary people to live free from violence and discrimination by:

  • Providing high quality integrated legal services for Victorian women and non-binary people who are victim-survivors of family violence and disadvantaged or marginalised by structural and systemic barriers.
  • Building the capacity of professionals who work with women and non-binary people, to better understand the law and navigate the legal system safely.
  • Advancing gender equality by challenging unsafe and discriminatory policies and laws and informing and advocating for legal and policy initiatives that respect and promote the rights of women and non-binary people.

About the Role

You will develop and deliver best practice family law and family violence training e-modules that build the capacity of professionals and communities to respond appropriately to the needs of women experiencing relationship breakdown or violence.

  • Work with subject matter experts in the team and external stakeholders to develop and deliver best practice e-modules.
  • Use data and feedback to refine and improve the quality, relevance and uptake of e-modules.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to deliver e-learning that meets the needs of women experiencing family violence.

About You

You will be an experienced instructional designer or educator with a solid understanding of adult learning principles and a passion for creating high-quality, engaging e-learning. With strong project management skills, you can plan, develop, and refine educational materials with ease. You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, a creative problem-solver, and committed to advancing gender equity through education.

Key to your success is your:

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices, with experience in instructional design and online learning development;
  • Experience in designing and delivering online learning materials;
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles to create materials that are accessible to all learners; and
  • Understanding of, or interest in, gender equity issues in Australia.

You will:

  • Hold a tertiary degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices, with experience in instructional design and online learning development;
  • Experience in designing and delivering online learning materials;
  • Experience using online learning authoring tools, including Articulate Rise and Storyline;

A degree in Law and practice experience in family law, family violence and child protection will be highly regarded.
