Word Travels is looking for a skilled Project Manager / Administrator to help us plan and deliver creative projects, generate income and develop new initiatives.
As a key member of the Word Travels team you will use your skills and knowledge in event logistics, reporting, data / task management, fundraising strategies and high-level communications.
Word Travels is a not-for-profit arts organisation with DGR status. We create and deliver literary and literacy programs with festivals, companies, schools, libraries, and cultural institutions around Australia and the Asia Pacific. We identify and pursue opportunities with young people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and regional communities to develop their skills, and to create and express themselves by performing their work. Our largest program is the international Australian Poetry Slam.
We work with emerging and established spoken-word artists, poets, lyricists, story-tellers and monologists to develop an industry that merges with actors, musicians and writers.
We empower communities through programs that amplify diverse narratives. We do this with performances, videos, podcasts, albums and publications.
