This position is based in Hobart, with occasional travel around the southern region.
Key duties in this role include:
- Develop, promote and disseminate information to support WIO’s vision, goals and culture.
- Keep WIO members up-to-date and informed.
- Connect and collaborate with LGBTIQA+ communities and non-LGBTIQA+ communities.
- Manage WIO’s incoming and outgoing communications via phone, email and our social media channels.
- Manage WIO’s social media presence and updating of websites.
- Assist with the coordination of events such as the IDAHOBIT Breakfast, TasPride’s Party in the Park, and occasional events for days of significance.
We are looking for someone who, amongst other things, Has:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the lived experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex, queer and questioning, and asexual, aromantic, and agender Tasmanians.
- Proven ability to promote the goals, values and culture of an organisation through a range of media and communication styles.
- Demonstrated IT, time management, priority setting and organisational skills.
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
