Copywriter

Use your writing talents to help create lasting change for the world’s most vulnerable children! We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to help inspire everyday Australians to make a difference through World Vision. You will be part of a small and dedicated copywriting team working on creative concept development and execution across a range of communications formats and channels. Your day-to-day work will involve writing and editing copy to support marketing campaigns, product development and the delivery World Vision’s brand and content strategies.

You will work closely with talented creative designers, video producers, our social media team, product designers and marketers.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Conceptualising, writing and editing copy in response to marketing briefs and/or data and insights to produce brand-led, campaign-driven and always-on marketing communications.
  • Outputs include direct mail and eDMs, reports for donors, search-optimised web copy, social media posts, ad scripts for TV and radio, and marketing collateral for retail and events.

Your skills and experience will include:

  • 3-5 years’ experience writing for print, digital and social channels
  • Experience updating websites using CMS systems is advantageous
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the capacity to build a profile or storyline to accurately communicate the work we do, the challenges our work addresses, and the people we support to a range of audiences
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, writing, journalism or similar fields (highly regarded, not mandatory)
