Head of Digital Strategy and Optimisation

An exciting new opportunity has opened up for a Head of Digital Strategy & Optimisation to join our team at World Vision Australia. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at our Burwood East VIC office.

Reporting to the Chief of Marketing, this key role is responsible for leading World Vision Australia’s digital platforms –including development and adoption of eCommerce best practices to increase supporter acquisition, retention, and overall experience; to improve the lives of children around the world.

Key responsibilities include leading a team to:

  • Lead, align and optimise the strategy & roadmap of all digital assets including websites, portal and apps.
  • Lead discovery for upgrading of website for 3.0 and ownership of the digital platforms, driving digital transformation capability.
  • Align digital assets and development roadmap with organisational and supporter needs.
  • Develop and execute platform strategies for increasing online sales, including optimising conversion, and skilled use of web analytics to improve eCommerce capability, and improved onsite engagement.
  • Drive increased adoption, activation, experience and engagement of the digital platform.
  • Work in partnership with Retail and Technology teams and the broader international World Vision partnership to deliver digital initiatives and uplift.
  • Work in alignment with the Product & Experience Design team to build functional, accessible and valuable products for supporters with understanding of user experience.
  • This role is focussed on improved supporter online experience and enhanced data-driven outcomes. The role will also be expected to work collaboratively to help grow the digital capability across the wider organisation.

About you:

  • You will have a natural flair for building and nurturing relationships and equally as passionate about changing lives and tackling the big issues together with a talented team of Digital experts.
  • Strong expertise in digital retailing / consumer eCommerce, including web analytics, personalisation, optimisation, SEO and digital merchandising.
  • Proven and extensive experience leading teams in digital management, optimisation and enhancement.
  • Tertiary qualified – Degree-level business related qualifications.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
