The position

Bring your passion for great coffee and food into a role where all proceeds go to World Vision Australia to help impact the lives of children. We’re a social enterprise using business as a force for good. 

This role acts as the daily face of Little Things Café, delivering friendly, efficient service that creates a warm welcoming atmosphere for all customers, with the aim of retaining a loyal customer base and attracting new customers to the venue.

Some of the Key Accountabilities include:

• Serve quality food, sandwiches, salads & cakes
• Follow procedures for all tasks as set out by café manager
• Ensure your sections are organised and tidy
• Assist in food preparation
• General cleaning duties and council requirements
• General service duties
• Good product knowledge/ menu knowledge
• Handle customer requests or complaints in a kind and helpful manner

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has experience in working in the hospitality industry (Café or Deli experience would be great) coupled with the following skills:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Café point of sale and inventory systems
• Food and drink preparation
• Front of house duties
• Flexibility, the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

The selection process

For your information, the interviews will start immediately, and the role may be filled before the closing date.

This role is a casual position and will be based at Little Things Cafe in Blackburn, Victoria. We trade Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3pm, and on Saturday from 8am to 2pm. With a possibility of opening on Sundays in the future.
