Wunan Foundation is a leading Aboriginal development organisation based in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Its purpose is to ensure that Aboriginal people enjoy the capabilities and opportunities necessary to make positive choices that lead to independent, fulfilling lives.
Wunan delivers the Driver Training Program in the East Kimberley. Programs are funded by the WA Department of Transport (DoT) and Department of Justice (DoJ).
We are seeking a passionate Driver Trainer who wants to contribute to improving, supporting and implementing change in a range of driver training services to ensure quality, and customer focused services to the remote and rural East Kimberley community, working alongside a remarkable and enthusiastic team. The Driver Trainer role is a full-time position - 1 position is based in Kununurra and the other in Halls Creek.
The Driver Trainer will work cohesively with referred clients in both programs. The prime focus of the position is to assist people towards obtaining a driver’s licence through all required steps including identification, fine payment arrangements, test bookings and driving lessons. Support will continue until the licence is granted successfully across both programs.
