The Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation is a Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) appointed under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic.). We represent the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Traditional Owners of Melbourne and the Greater Melbourne region, and we take great pride in our responsibility for protecting and managing Aboriginal cultural heritage objects and places on Wurundjeri Country. The Corporation offers a range of cultural services including environmental land management, cross-cultural education, traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremonies, research, and cultural consultations.
The Narrap Unit leads natural resource management across Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country, which covers the integrated management of land, water, soil, plants and animals.

Reporting to the Works Coordinator and working alongside our ranger team, this is a full time position. The Ranger Program is focused on delivering Country restoration and management work - healing Country guides our program. Through our skilled and experienced team, the Ranger Program embeds Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country management principles and practices in Natural Resource Management (NRM). Our team manage a range of environmental and natural resources including through restoration and regeneration of landscapes, monitoring of fauna and fauna, weed control and planning, track maintenance works reporting, Cultural burning, fire mitigation and fencing. The role is physically demanding and involves a requirement to work in all weather conditions.
Accreditation in fire fighting and heavy machinery would be an advantage however is not essential.
