We are Wyndham, one of Australia’s fastest growing and most diverse cities.
Our people are hard at work designing the precincts, building the infrastructure, developing the policies and delivering the programs that will ensure the City is prepared to welcome over 200,000 new residents by 2040.
Our growing Library network is made up of 7 locations across Wyndham. We host 1 million annual visitors, run more than 4,000 community programs and loan upwards of 1.5 million items annually. Our team is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our community. Providing resources, programs and technology access, we support our community to grow and thrive.
Shape new possibilities. Be part of something more.
The Administration and Programs Support Librarians will provide high-level administrative and program support to the Library Programs Team Leaders and Teams.
You will use your data analytics skills to review program and collections statistics each quarter and share these insights via presentations at team planning days. A further major focus will involve updating program timetables each term, including the accompanying website and internal information sharing pages. You will also bring your skills and expertise to document, review and refine these processes as needed.
The Administration and Programs Support Librarians will deliver administration support for various programs, events and competitions, including Wyndham Libraries’ Battle of the Books and Imagination Creation competitions. The successful applicant for the Children’s Team-based (21 hour per week) position will also be responsible for coordinating programs training and end of year program evaluations.
In addition to the role specific duties detailed above, you will be responsible for providing high quality customer service and information support to our library patrons. These roles may also be required to deliver library programs on an occasional basis in the event of staff absences.
The 21 hour position will report to the Team Leader Children’s Programs & Services and work closely with the other Children’s team members.
The 14 hour position will report to the Team Leader Education and Youth Programs & Services, and work closely with the other Education and Youth team members.
Regular weeknight and weekend shifts are a requirement of the 21 hour per week position.
Both positions are based at Hoppers Crossing Library, however there may be a requirement to work from other Wyndham City Libraries locations in line with operational requirements.
Please note that whilst we are keen to hear from applicants wishing to be considered for both roles, we are unable to consider appointing one applicant to both roles in a fulltime capacity.
Take a look at our job opportunities and you may be surprised at what you discover: a future-focused culture, a sense of purpose and possibility, and real opportunities to strengthen our diverse community. It all adds up to make Wyndham City a great place to belong.
