A bit about the role

Wyndham City has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate customer service professional, with a community-focussed outlook, to assist with the day-to-day operations of our new Truganina Community Centre. Alongside an enthusiastic Team Leader, you will play an integral role in shaping this community space to reflect the neighbourhood’s aspirations.

The position involves engaging with the community, supporting activities and events, and providing an excellent customer experience to our community in a way that combines your local knowledge, empathy and resourcefulness.

You will work in a dynamic team to share your passion for the community and help make the most out of the services and community spaces in Wyndham.

What you will deliver

  • A customer experience that is responsive to community and inclusive of all cultures & identities
  • The meticulous administration of application-based facility bookings, operational documentation, financial transactions and the completion of site inductions
  • Assistance in developing and promoting exciting new programs and events led by and for the Truganina community
  • Contribute to the success of the centre through active teamwork and a focus on the experience of local residents accessing services, programs and activities
  • Proactive support to the Neighbourhood Hubs team, other Council staff and community activity providers to promote and deliver initiatives which meet neighbourhood priorities.
