  • Salary from $83,536.96 (Pro rata) plus super and a fortnightly RDO

A bit about the role

As a Youth Engagement Activator, you’ll design and lead activities that connect with young people at Community Centres. Your role focuses on motivating youth, enhancing their engagement, and building strong community relationships. You'll work closely with young people to create meaningful programs and support their involvement in community initiatives.

What you’ll deliver

  • Develop and implement innovative youth engagement processes for meaningful participation in decision-making.
  • Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships to support youth-led initiatives at the Community Centre.
  • Foster relationships with diverse youth and communities to promote inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Lead, evaluate, and report on youth programs aligned with ethical and community development frameworks.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in supporting and engaging young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of cultural diversity and ability to practice with cultural competence.
  • Experience with adolescent development, youth participation, and community development frameworks.
  • Awareness of contemporary issues affecting young people and their developmental challenges.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse youth, families, and communities.
  • Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Development, or related fields.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
