About the role

Wyndham Community and Education Centre is looking for a trainer and assessor for delivery of a vocational program to students in a nearby independent senior secondary school. Delivering selected units of competency from the Certificate II in Workplace Skills and Certificate III in Business to three student cohorts, this is a wonderful opportunity to broaden your skills as a VET trainer.

This is a part time position where the successful candidate will:

  • Deliver and assess selected Units of Competency
  • Work with three cohorts of senior secondary students
  • Work with the VET Coordinator and school staff to support students to complete the program
  • Meet program administration and reporting requirements
  • Be available on Wednesday and Thursday during school terms

About you

You are passionate about supporting young people to improve their education outcomes. You may have experience working with senior secondary / young adult students. You have experience delivering vocational programs.

Selection criteria

  •  Qualifications that would enable you to work in a secondary school or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experience delivering vocational training
  • Experience working with young people, disadvantaged learners and learners from CALD backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

You must hold a valid Working with Children Check and current Police Check.
