Community Engagement & Operations Officer

Wyndham Health Foundation

ABOUT Wyndham Health Foundation

Wyndham Health Foundation exists to ensure everyone in our growing and diverse community has access to inclusive, high-quality public healthcare.

We’ve been proudly supporting public hospitals and healthcare services in the City of Wyndham for over 30 years – funding everything from cutting-edge medical equipment to innovative health programs that improve lives every day. As the needs of our region grow, so too does our commitment to closing gaps in access and outcomes.

We work alongside health services, local organisations and the broader community to create lasting impact through strategic funding. Our focus is on health equity, and our work supports people facing some of the biggest challenges in accessing care – including those impacted by chronic illness, mental health issues, and systemic disadvantage.

We’re a small, passionate team driven by community outcomes – and everything we do is about helping Wyndham residents live healthier, more connected lives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role exists because relationships matter – and so does the work that brings people together to make great things happen.

In this part-time (0.4 FTE), two-days-a-week role, the Community Engagement & Operations Officer will work closely with the General Manager and Marketing Consultant to help shape the Foundation’s presence across the region. You'll coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives, and build meaningful connections with our partners, donors, and local community groups.

It’s a role with great variety – one day you might be managing logistics for a community fundraiser, the next you’ll be co-creating a donor newsletter with our Marketing Consultant or supporting the General Manager with operational priorities.

At its heart, this role is about making sure our community feels connected to our mission – and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so that every campaign, event, and initiative has real impact.

If you're someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and wants their work to make a difference, you’ll find genuine purpose here.

ABOUT YOU

You’re someone who loves turning ideas into action – and who values collaboration, creativity and community.

You bring experience in event coordination, community engagement, fundraising, or stakeholder management – ideally within a not-for-profit, community, or health-related context, but that’s not essential. You’ve probably worked in a fast-paced environment, and you know how to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.

You're organised, proactive and a great communicator – whether you’re writing copy, coordinating partners, or engaging volunteers. You’re comfortable with tools like Microsoft Office, Canva, MailChimp or social media platforms, and you're always willing to learn.

This role could suit someone returning to the workforce, balancing other commitments, or looking for meaningful part-time work that fits around life – while still making a tangible impact.

Most importantly, you’re values-led and community-focused, with a passion for health equity and local impact.

We’d especially love to hear from candidates who live in or have strong connections to the Wyndham community.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

We want you to thrive here. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:

  • Flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements and hours worked over 3 days
  • A positive, collaborative working environment where your contribution is truly valued
  • The opportunity to be part of a small, mission-led team making a real difference in people’s lives
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities]
