The Role

You will apply your skills to assist the CFO deliver on the day-to-day financial function of the organisation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the entry and payment of supplier invoices
  • Coordinating and processing the receipt and payment of school invoices and building open and productive working relationships with our partner schools
  • Coding and processing corporate credit card receipts as well as personal expense reimbursements
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and corporate card accounts
  • Preparation of fortnightly payroll working closely with the Head of Business Services (HR function) and the CFO
  • Assisting with month, quarter and year end procedures
  • Preparation of various invoices to support the Accounts Receivable function
  • Support with administrative duties as directed

Please note that the role is an on-site role based at Helensvale, Gold Coast - the role is office based and is not able to be done remotely or form home. Yalari does offer flexibility options for the right candidate to accommodate work/life management.

The Suitable applicant will ideally possess:

  • Strong aptitude for numbers with an eye for detail
  • Good communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships with staff and external stakeholders
  • An adaptable and flexible mindset - as a small charity no two days look the same
  • Experience with Xero accounting solution
  • 2+ years of experience ideally as a account payable clerk or bookkeeper within a finance team
  • Qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping ideal but not essential if experienced.
