About the role

Yarra Ranges Council is looking for a Systems and Data Officer to support our Community Wellbeing department.

Working closely within the Safer Communities team, you will support annual campaigns such as the fire hazard program and the health and pet renewal campaigns. The Systems and Data Officer plays a pivotal role in these campaigns through updating and maintaining our systems, forms, website, and templates in line with relevant legislation. In addition to this, the role requires regular reporting and

This role would be suitable for someone with a strong administrative background who enjoys working with technology and data and is quick to pick up new systems.

  • Full-time temporary position until 16 May 2025 (secondment backfill) (38 hours per week) with the potential to extend.
  • Support work-life balance with your choice of fortnightly or monthly rostered day off and flexible working arrangements.
  • Band 5 role with a salary range between $76,054 and $84,502 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation.

What you’ll bring to our team

  • Strong administrative experience with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Great communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Experience transforming data using equations and pivot tables through Excel will be highly valuable.
  • Knowledge of Pathway, Health Manager, FoodTrader or TechnologyOne systems or a willingness to learn.

Even if you don’t have all the above skills or experience, we still encourage you to apply. We value the right attitude, values fit, and willingness to learn.
