Your responsibilities will include leading a high performing team, supporting delivery of the Integrated Water Management Plan and Liveable Climate Plan, and facilitating the uptake of sustainable practices both in Council operations and across the community. What you’ll bring to our team

• Excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, external stakeholders and the Yarra Ranges community.
• Demonstrated experience in leading implementation of programs and strategies focusing on sustainability education, environmental awareness, water quality, integrated water management, food security and environmental stewardship.
• Ability to deliver quality project outcomes to agreed timeframes.
• Knowledge of key State and Federal Government environmental legislation.
• Qualifications and demonstrated work experience in the field of Sustainability, Environmental Science, Integrated Water Management, Natural Resource Management or similar.

• Full-time, temporary secondment backfill position until November 2025.
• Salary from $104,442 (Band 7) per annum (pro rata), plus superannuation.
