About the role

Yarra Ranges Council has an extensive and active Environmental Volunteer Community. This includes 54 Active Friends Groups and Landcare groups. This role will be supporting these groups by organising their training, insurance and assisting in developing works plans and activities. The role sits within the Bushland unit and works closely with the land managers to achieve conservation outcomes on Bushland Reserve and Roadsides.

What you’ll bring to our team

• Experience in community engagement and facilitation
• Willingness to work after hours and weekends
• Preferred experience in Volunteer management at a local level.
• Qualification in the environmental field is preferred.

• Temporary 12 month Part-time parental leave backfill position (3 days per week)
• Salary from $47.06 (Band 6) per hour, plus superannuation
