About the role

The Senior Development Manager is a newly created role reporting to our Executive Team and designed to meet Unison’s growth. You will lead the planning and delivery of new social and affordable housing projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. You’ll also oversee major capital works at existing assets and support strategic acquisitions and disposals. Your strong commercial and project management skills will be key to ensuring Unison’s housing pipeline delivers real outcomes.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across the full property lifecycle, from negotiating funding applications to design, procurement, construction, and completion. You’ll take pride in your ability to get projects done, through a ‘hands-on’ project delivery approach.

You’ll bring your commercially minded professionalism and passion for creating housing solutions that make a difference. You’ll be confident working across complex stakeholder environments and able to balance strategic vision with operational excellence.

You’ll have strong leadership experience and be comfortable leading, motivating and managing a capable and productive team whilst providing mentoring and guidance to ensure the team have access to continued opportunities and development.
