The Warbangali Allied Health Program, operating on Darkinjung Country (Central Coast, NSW), is a community-driven initiative under Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Services. Specialising in culturally safe, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, the program provides comprehensive support through occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, social work, and behaviour support. Warbangali is dedicated to empowering individuals across all life stages, from paediatrics to elders, with services ranging from therapy and family support to advocacy and educational resources.

As a collaborative team of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff, the team deliver targeted interventions to build capacity within the community. About The Role:

Employment Type: Full-time or part-time.

Role Focus is primarily NDIS clients with allocation allotment to explore specialised areas of interest, and service needs including (but not limited to):

  • Out-of-home care
  • Family preservation
  • Adult mental health
  • Alcohol and other drugs
  • Aged care
  • Chronic disease management

The primary duties you will be involved with are as follows:

  • Therapy assessment, consultation and treatment of community members
  • Consult and provide therapy education to families, stakeholders, and/or carers
  • Conduct post-assessment meetings with service users and/or their caregivers
  • Engage in case consultations and stakeholder meetings
  • Complete, review and maintain therapy treatment plans
  • Complete, track, review and maintain therapy goals
  • Complete ongoing progress reports, including NDIS reports, within the required time frame
  • Develop Allied Health Assistant intervention plans, where appropriate, and supervise the implementing assistant

At Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Services we offer an attractive employment package to support professional growth, work-life balance, and cultural engagement, with a negotiable wage pending experience and training, from $88,000 to $98,000 + super + CPD package.

Comprehensive Continuous Professional Development valued at $10,000 which includes:

  • Monthly clinical supervision during work hours.
  • Recurring industry-required training (e.g., First Aid, NDIS Worker Check).
  • Workshops, webinars, and other training opportunities
  • Individual cultural supervision (bi-monthly).
  • Allied Health group supervision held quarterly.

Additionally, Eleanor Duncan offers the below benefits:

  • $15,900 salary-sacrificing option.
  • Staff Development and Team Bonding twice a year
  • Two-day staff development with cultural immersion activities once a year
  • Three additional leave days over the Christmas period.

Study Opportunities

Lastly, as an employee of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), you would be eligible to apply for a scholarship of up to $10,000 per year, provided for up to two years of study (whichever runs out first), to attain a postgraduate qualification of either a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, Masters or PhD. – This is not included in the overall employment package, but an opportunity stemming from employment.
