about the role

The Board Member, Finance will work closely with the CEO, fellow Board Members and Directors, and Lead, Finance to provide a layer of quality assurance for the financial operations of Yiliyapinya. This position is an integral part of the Board and provides expertise and specialist skills within the financial focused functions of the organisation.

Key activities include identifying funding opportunities, reviewing financial reports, support and guidance for business planning, and financial performance support.

Quarterly online meetings and occasional other tasks provide an indicator of the time commitment requested. Although we are based in Brisbane, this role can be done from anywhere in Australia.

This role is open to individuals who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
