THE ROLE

Are you passionate about creating safe environments for children and young people? Do you want to make a real difference in your community? We're looking for a dedicated Safeguarding and Incidents Officer to join our team.

As our Safeguarding and Incident Officer, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in all our programs, as well as the general safety of patrons, staff and volunteers.

You'll develop and implement robust safeguarding processes, manage and triage incident reports, and foster a culture of safety throughout our organisation.

With approximately 1,000 employees, we deliver programs and services across the state in settings including community recreation centres, swimming pools, health and fitness facilities, community centres, camps, early education and schools and youth services.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) – Certificate must be within six (6) months from date of issue
  • International police check - for applicants who have lived or worked overseas in the past five (5) years
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)

While any relevant qualifications or experience are beneficial, we can train the right candidate who brings a great attitude to the importance of safety and safeguarding children and young people.
