Yugul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation (YMDAC) was established on 10 April 2008 to develop the social, economic, governance and cultural wellbeing of the Ngukurr community. On the northern side of the Roper River, these lands extend from Blue Mud Bay across toward Bulman, down the Wilton River Valley to Roper River and out to the Gulf. On the southern side of the river the lands extend from the west of Buddawka to the Hodgson River and includes the Towns River and Limmen National Park and the Marla Land Trust.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE:
- Drive and passion to work in a remote indigenous community, working closely with a highly motivated team to support a safe environment.
- Ability to Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Proven customer services skills as our customers are our priority when visiting our Motel and the need to provide a high standard of customer service is essential, ensuring the leave community with a good experience whilst staying in the motel.
- Support and build local employees to build the reputation of our Motel.
- Ensure that all staff are appropriately inducted and ensure training is provided.
- Provide daily communications in the diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings and any other checks.
- Ability to respond to alarms, emergencies and incidents such as accidents, medical emergencies and disturbances.
- Participating in regular training sessions and drills for various emergency situations.
- Ability to build positive relationships with staff and visitors staying in the Motel.
- Possess highly developed mentoring, coaching and supervision skills and the ability to motivate and influence others in a positive manner.

A MUST HAVE:
- Certificate ii in Security operations and must hold a security licence.
- Sound knowledge of fire panels, alarm systems and CCTV.
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
- National Police Criminal History Report (less than three months old) with acceptable outcome.
- Northern Territory Driver's Licence (or willingness to obtain within agreed timeframe).
- Demonstrated currency of pandemic and job specific vaccinations (and boosters).
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within agreed timeframe).
- Excellent situation awareness and observation skills.
