Working as part of our IT Infrastructure and Operations support team, the IT SharePoint Power Platform Engineer will be accountable for governing and maintaining cloud and Microsoft 365 application platforms to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance in a secure, efficient, cost-effective manner. Reporting to the Team Leader, Infrastructure & Operations, this role is integral in maintaining day-to-day operational IT services whilst providing a customer centric approach to the operational support of Yooralla’s business critical IT services.

This position ensures that the platforms are maintained as high-quality fit-for-purpose systems that satisfy business expectations and comply with Yooralla’s standards. The position also provides guidance and technical expertise to cross functional teams, service providers and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for:

  • Working to ensure high-quality and safe supports and services for NDIS participants,
    meeting and exceeding the NDIS Practice Standards and
    Quality Indicators.
  • Meeting obligations under all relevant Victorian and Commonwealth legislation.
  • Working in accordance with the Yooralla Code of Conduct and Employee Manual.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Creatively use Microsoft technologies to automate and enhance Yooralla’s business processes; evangelise and identify opportunities to extend their use throughout the business.
  • Develop, manage, and support Yooralla’s use of the following technologies: SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate (Flow), Power BI
  • Document the configuration of the business applications and technologies and key decisions made in their implementation and operation.
  • Identify opportunities for digital workflow or automation improvements within the business.
  • Analyse the business requirements by collaborating with the stakeholders and IT Management, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, etc.
  • Develop, document, test changes and enhancements to integration components in response to business and technical needs.
  • Respond to and resolve support requests, incidents & problems to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Act as an escalation point for Yooralla’s IT team members for issues relating to the above Microsoft technologies; manage recurring problems to avoid future incidents or minimise their impact.
  • Implement robust standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry data privacy regulations, and Yooralla’s policies.
  • Effective collaboration with internal and external teams, and business units, to ensure smooth integration of cloud solutions into existing systems and workflows.
  • Effectively influence internal and external technical teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective cloud and infrastructure solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and review of Yooralla’s processes, standards, and tools to maximise efficiency and ensure compliance is met.

Selection Criteria

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current National Police Record Check
  • International Police Check (if required)
  • Current driver's licence to drive in Australia

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Technology discipline or significant relevant industry experience
  • Relevant industry certifications in two of the following disciplines - Microsoft 365, SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Platform, Power Bi, ITIL, Agile project management

Professional Experience

  • Demonstrable 4+ years of experience with direct accountability for development using Power Platforms (PowerApps, Power Automate & Power Bl) Experience building Office 365 solutions including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power Bl, SharePoint Online, MS Teams.
  • Experience exploring and analysing business needs with end users and business stakeholders; understanding how to use Microsoft technologies to meet those needs.
  • Development of effective user interfaces and training documentation for non-technical users
  • Experience with data integration and transformation technologies
  • Ability to work on multiple activities at the same time, balancing support priorities with project work.
  • Demonstrated ability establishing and managing relationships and partnerships with external vendors/service providers and internal business customers.
  • Significant industry experience transforming and improving technical architecture and IT services.
  • Significant experience delivering technology-based projects and initiatives.
  • Significant experience in a medium to large ICT environment with a strong focus on providing cloud, infrastructure, or application support services to service levels.
  • Sound understanding of industry standard information system support processes.
  • Extensive understanding of information technology and industry trends.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and solution identification skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer focus background with commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.
