The role of the Senior Manager Lived and Living Experience (LLE), supported by the Executive Director Inclusion, is to embed lived and living experience at all levels of the organisation. This includes, Board and Executive decision making, policy and strategy, program and service design, pathways to self-determinations for service users and clients, as well as accessible and inclusive employment for staff.
This is a leadership role that leverages the personal experiences of individuals who have directly faced significant marginalisation, adversity, socio-economic disadvantage and/or disability ("lived experience") to influence policy, practice, and system change by advocating for the perspectives of those with lived experience.
The role acts as a bridge between service users & clients and service providers, as well as the organisation and employees, to ensure their needs are integrated into decision-making processes.
