Established in 2019, we are a growing Melbourne-based organisation that supports women and children who have been impacted by family violence by supplying and setting up the contents of their long-term accommodation, empowering them to re-establish stability, independence and connection to their community.
We are committed to positively contributing to the Victorian family violence service system, operating within the recovery phase, and supporting specialist family violence agencies working directly with women and children impacted by family violence. Our vision is for women and their children to live safe and happy lives within their own homes and community.
We are a not-for-profit organisation limited by guarantee with tier 1 deductible goods recipient charitable status and associated tax concessions. We rely on an extraordinary, committed and skilled volunteer workforce of approximately 100 individuals to deliver our services, working alongside a small paid staff team.
The Manager Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities at our Abbotsford warehouse with a focus on customer satisfaction. This role requires a skilled multitasker who will manage the full scope of operations, including receiving, handling, storing, selecting, preparing, and distributing goods for the establishment of Havens (safe houses for women and children impacted by family violence) while ensuring that quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
The Manager will oversee inventory control, order fulfilment, supply chain and logistics, collection and receipt of donated goods, staging and deployment of goods, team supervision and relationship management of external partners and providers. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented and capable of effectively managing multiple aspects of warehouse operations at once.
Please note, this role is physically demanding and includes responsibilities such as driving a medium to large goods collection van, lifting and carrying items, and standing or walking for extended periods.
