About the Procurement Manager role

This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to join YourCH, a values-driven, not-for-profit healthcare organisation, as the Procurement Manager. In this role, you will lead the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of essential goods and services, while developing procurement strategies that support organisational goals.

You will build strong vendor relationships, manage contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing. Additionally, you’ll drive initiatives focused on process improvement, cost savings, environmental sustainability, and compliance, working closely with internal teams to achieve efficient, impactful outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this fixed-term, full-time role (1.0 FTE) is available until 27 June 2025, with the possibility of part-time work for the right candidate (minimum 22.8 hours per week).

Your Passion and Commitment will see you:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to support organisational goals, optimising cost, quality, functionality and sustainability
  • Take charge of sourcing, negotiating, and securing essential goods and services
  • Foster strong vendor relationships and secure impactful contracts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address procurement-related challenges and opportunities
  • Contribute to YourCH’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Experience with Health Share Victoria and/or environmentally sustainable procurement practices (highly regarded).
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a focus on cost optimisation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand and communicate business requirements and lead continuous process improvements.
