Your Side Australia

About Your Side

Your Side Australia is a leading provider of support services for older people, vulnerable seniors, and carers throughout Sydney. For 30 years we've kept our commitment to give people greater choice and to enhance their independence and wellbeing.

Your Side provides personalised care management to arrange the services, aids and support that allows older people and their families to get on with living a good life. Our consultants help clients navigate the complexities of the Aged Care system and ensure they get the most from their funding with the right, quality-checked support services. Your Side is a not-for-profit aged care provider - all income surplus is invested back into the organisation and services we provide. We continuously strive to improve our model: with client’s needs at the centre, supporting people through key life changes, and building integrated pathways with the wider health and community services system.

Our vision is that every life can be a good one.

Your Side Culture

Your Side provides a supportive, flexible workplace and fun is our middle name. All our team members are passionate about care in the community and supporting older Australians and vulnerable people to live their best lives. Our values ensure we provide quality services that put people first, and that includes our people. As one of us, you must love food, fun, dressing up and pets – including ducks. Well, it’s not essential that you love those things, but it will help.

Your role

There are two Aged Care Support Specialist roles within the Marketing & Growth team for Your Side. They do outreach in the community to help inform, support and assist senior Australians in applying for aged care, and make referrals to community support. They make client evaluations to assess their support needs and advocate for older individuals to get the appropriate solutions for their needs, as they guide them through the pipeline. They build trusted relationships, get to know each client’s challenges and goals, and conduct Home Visits to co-design a tailored Support Plan and sign them up to Your Side. They work closely with the HCP Care Consultant team to brief them on each client’s needs and personality and maintain contact to check on their progress after their care is established.

They will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to learn, inform and seek out opportunities to generate leads for clients. They have strong interpersonal skills, a love of conversation and high empathy levels, to establish rapports and influence decision-making. They will align to our values of respecting and safeguarding every client’s safety, dignity and interests, so they can live a good life.
