yourtown is a trusted provider of services for young people, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing, long-term unemployment, prevention of youth suicide, child protection, as well as support for those experiencing domestic and family violence.

Based at Deception Bay and working with the Family Support Services team, this role will work collaboratively with a range of community stakeholders to promote community connectedness and build supportive and safe child-friendly environments. The Communities for Children initiative is a federally funded, whole of community response aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of children aged 0-12 years in the Deception Bay community.
You will focus on the review and development of the next Community Strategic Plan and apply asset/place-based community development strategies to implement community initiatives.

You will take a project-based management approach to working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and utilise co-designed community development activities. You will be able to engage children and community members in making connections that enhance skills, knowledge and experience.
