Position Details

Zig Zag are seeking a skilled worker with experience in maintaining compliance and administrative integrity, ensuring that Zig Zag maintains a high standard of accountability and a high standard of effectiveness in all areas of organisational administrative support.

The Operations and Administrative Support Worker supports an organisational environment that assists workers to meet the needs of young women and gender diverse young people, in accordance with the organisation’s aims and values. This position will be required to undertake work across all Zig Zag’s service sites.

The Operations and Administrative Support Worker position is responsible for:

  • Organisational administrative duties including administration phone support and general enquiry response; maintaining organisational filing systems and records; organising building and resource maintenance and equipment (responsive and cyclical); website maintenance and resource development; and contributing to the development and review of organisational systems, processes, policies and procedures.
  • Financial administration including preparation of general accounts for payment.
  • Project assistance in implementing special projects and organisational events, and small grants funding submissions and acquittals to support the achievements of organisational strategic and operational objectives.
  • Compliance support including coordination of annual compliance training; maintenance and development of organisational registers; governance and compliance documentation and adherence to the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF); and executive administrative tasks including annual reporting and planning for the Annual General Meeting in consultation with the Operations Manager.

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant business and/or administration experience (community services sector experience highly advantageous).
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license.
  • Possession of a current Working with Children Blue Card.
  • High level of computer literacy, including working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office 365 suite + systems, experience in Xero advantageous.
