Zoos Victoria operates four landmark zoos, Healesville Sanctuary, Kyabram Fauna Park, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo. The Operations Team is responsible for the upkeep and safe operation of Melbourne Zoo infrastructure. This includes handling both reactive and planned preventative maintenance, as well as overseeing capital projects, managing asset data systems, and ensuring security for the Zoo.
The Preventative Maintenance Team addresses all preventative maintenance requirements, ranging from servicing critical animal welfare needs to the maintenance of conservation assets, buildings, roads, fleet, landscapes, and visitor safety including the heritage listed carousel. Their role is crucial in supporting internal departments (such as Life Sciences, Visitor Experience, and Operations) and serving our visitors, providing a safe and memorable zoo experience.
The Preventative Maintenance Trade Co-ordinators primary responsibility is to ensure all work tasks are scheduled and completed in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Plans. They will be a high-performing team member and deliver exceptional customer service as tasks will need to be scheduled and communicated with various departments across the property. We are seeking motivated, results-oriented applicants that are team focused. A strong work ethic, time and teamwork skills are essential to this role. You will work with the team to deliver high standards of asset maintenance.
