8848 Disability Services is currently looking for several committed, caring and professional individuals to join our Team in Hornsby area, on a permanent basis.
shifts types :
- 2 hr short shifts
- 6 hrs shifts
- 8 hr shifts
- Active Nights
These are challenging roles that require the successful candidates to support customers with complex medical needs including Catheter Care, Bowel care, CPAP, Manual Handling, Personal Care. Previous experience is essential.
TYPICAL DUTIES MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence at home and in the community.
- Supporting customers with personal care and other health and hygiene issues such as eating, dressing, toileting and showering.
- Undertaking various household tasks including mealtime management, cleaning, shopping and other community access activities.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support or equivalent qualifications desired but not essential
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual care plans
- Flexibility to work casual shifts, as needed is required
- NSW Working With Children Check
- NDIS Workers Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
