 At Aspect Adult Community Services, we create a supportive, fun, collaborative atmosphere for both staff and participants.  

As a Support Worker, you will work within a supportive group environment to develop your knowledge and skills. Our enthusiastic team create a positive environment enabling you to provide quality, direct support to our participants on the autism spectrum.  We hold team meetings every morning and afternoon, so we are all on the same page. You will find it rewarding and fun to work with participants as they reach their personal goals. Programs of support reflect the goals and interests of our participants. Activities in our program include personal training/fitness, cooking/kitchen operations, photography, podcasting, horticulture, and the arts. Recently, our participants hosted their own art exhibition. 

Operating Monday to Friday, between 8:45am-3:15pm, we have multiple roles available, with a minimum of 3 days per week.

 What you will do:

  • Provide direct support to individuals on the autism spectrum to achieve their goals, develop skills and broaden their experiences
  • Implement strategies identified through personal plans
  • Complete online client management reports and other administration tasks
  • You will be required to support participants with personal care

 About you:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or Community Service - completed or working towards (highly regarded)
  • Engaged and willing to learn; skilled at building rapport
  • Motivated, resilient and enthusiastic
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Driver’s licence (desirable)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance for paid employment (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current VIC Working with Children Check for paid employment (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module, ‘Quality, Safety and You.' If you have not already completed this free module, click here to access it. 
  • You may also be required to provide an international police clearance
