We have a rare opportunity available for a motivated person to train in Wangaratta to become a Mental Health Support Worker.

You will work beside a dedicated and encouraging team of practitioners to develop your skills and guide you through your studies as you complete your Cert IV in Mental Health with additional Alcohol and Other Drug subjects.

You will learn and actively participate in case management, including consultation, assessment, support, referral and follow up for clients with alcohol and other drug and/or mental or general health issues.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • A genuine interest in Aboriginal Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol support for community
  • Understanding of current health and social impacts relevant to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and email
  • Current Drivers Licence
