An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, motivated and innovative ACPA Program Director to join the ACPA team in a fixed term position.

Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA)

ACPA is the leading national authority for advance care planning and advance care directives. ACPA delivers national advance care planning coordination and policy advocacy via leadership, engagement, communications, advisory services, quality improvement, and education and information resources for consumers, the health and aged care workforce, and service providers.

Position Purpose

To provide strategic and operational leadership and manage a high performing, collaborative, and professional national Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) program.

Key functions of the role include:

  • Expertise in health legislation, policy, advocacy, national health and aged care quality standards, person-centred care, and health systems.
  • Leadership, management, and effective operation of the ACPA program, strategic direction, activity work plan, team, program assets and financial resources.
  • Overseeing a coordinated, contemporary, and evidence-based approach to advance care planning engagement throughout health sectors and the community.
  • Implement ACPA identity and branding, innovation, stakeholder management (national and international) and culture of collaboration.
  • Leadership and implementation of robust governance and accountability for human resources, financial management, contract management and legal compliances.
